Our swimming sessions are currently full so we have paused new signups. Please check back to this page later if you wish to join.

Otter Water Polo

If you're interested in joining Otter Water Polo please email Emily or Izzy (Womens) or Leon (Men’s) to organise a free trial session. 

MEMBERSHIP FEES

The full year active member fee is £834 p.a. This can be paid yearly in one lump sum. Alternatively, you can pay monthly (£77).

There are discounts for active members who fall into one of the following categories:
•    University students - 50% discount
•    Country Members (for those permanently residing outside the M25) - 75% discount

A one-off joining fee of £75 also applies for all members joining (or rejoining) the club.

We charge Swim England fees separately from club membership. Currently these are £27 for Club Train or £54 for Club Compete and membership runs February-January. You must pay Club Train at a minimum in order to join.

Temporary members: If you are visiting for four months or less we offer temporary membership of £95 per month + the Swim England fees detailed above. We do not have membership options for time periods shorter than a month.

Mailing

If you want to make sure you are kept up-to-date with the latest Otter information, please ensure your details are up-to-date in Swim Manager. Otter does not pass your personal details on to any third parties.

Otter History and Annual Reports

OTTER HISTORY

Otter was formed in 1869. We are one of the oldest and most well-known swimming clubs in the country with a proud history. A detailed history of Otter Swimming Club, its activities, and many of its personalities can be read in the Otter History 150th Anniversary History written by former President, James Stewart along with the 125th Anniversary report written in 1994 by John Goodbody:

CLUB COLOURS

Club colours were first awarded in 1907 for Swimming and Water Polo Teams. This was followed by Diving and Ornamental Swimming 1922, Water Polo and Swimming 2nd Team 1927,  Plunging 1936, Long Distance Swimming 1965, and most recently Masters swimming and Multi-sport in 1993.
