Book your place on the Otter training camp - September 2017

This is the news you have been waiting for…confirmation that the Otter Swimming Training Camp will take place 9th-16th September 2017, at Club la Santa, Lanzarote.

The week away is open to all members (and their partners) and it is a great way to get to know your team mates. To reserve your place on the Otter training camp please can you confirm by email to OtterCaptains@yahoo.co.uk with La Santa in the e-mail title by Saturday 28th January 2017.  For those who have never been to an Otter La Santa training camp before, here is what to expect:

2 x 2 hour swimming sessions a day, coached by our head coach Steve Bratt, in an open air 50m swimming pool. The training camp is open and suited to all swimmers in the club with lots of lane space and sessions available to all. For those wishing to compete at the British Short Course Masters Championships in Sheffield, the training camp is ideally suited 6 weeks before the competition.

There are also plenty of non swimming activities to do at "Club La Santa", with dozens of different classes organised each day; and limitless possibilities thanks to the amazing facilities including tennis, Squash, Racket Ball, cycling, windsurfing, beach volleyball and of course the infamous Ab Attack! Or you could chose to lay by the leisure pool in the sunshine with an ice cream!

This is an extremely fun trip with lots of socialising as well as training! The night out in Puerta del Carmen (del Chav!) is now an annual tradition and the end of camp BBQ is a great way to celebrate finishing the week with your team mates.  In the past we’ve had between 30-40 swimmers attend, from all training lanes. It’s always a very friendly atmosphere with the chance to get to know people and make new friends!
